Personal infrastructure for the age of AGI

When intelligence becomes free, what stays scarce is you.

I — The problem

Intelligence is becoming abundant.
Being understood is not.

Every year the models get better at everything except one thing: knowing who they are talking to. That gap does not close by making them smarter.

You cannot see yourself

Every self-report performs. Questionnaires, journals, bios — written by the part of you that wants to be seen a certain way. Delphi asked people to know themselves. Twenty-five centuries later, nobody has turned in the assignment.

You meet through a stand-in

To find someone real, you first send someone fake — a curated photo, a rehearsed line, a persona built for approval. The market for connection runs almost entirely on things that are not quite true.

What is known about you is not yours

The most accurate record of your life sits on servers you do not control, serves objectives you did not set, and cannot leave with you. You are the subject of the file and the only party with no say in it.

II — What we are building toward

A layer that belongs to the person,
not to the system.

ipo Lab is building the personal infrastructure for the age of AGI — identity, context, and boundaries that move with each individual across intelligent systems, so AI serves the person, not just the prompt.

Owned, not held

Not a profile kept on your behalf. Something you hold, carry, and can take back — where taking it back actually changes what downstream systems are allowed to conclude.

No score, no ranking

We do not price people. No valuation, no leaderboard, no market deciding what a person is worth. Others once turned persona offerings into personal stock. We are doing the opposite.

Sharp, not averaged

Most systems pull people toward the mean, because the mean is easier to serve. What makes someone worth knowing is precisely what an average erases. We build for the long tail of a single life.

III — What we found

We read the field to see if someone
had already built this.

One full pass through the agent literature — surveys, foundations, and three years of top-conference work. One absence kept repeating.

Every layer built so far answers the same question: can this agent be trusted?

Not one answers the other question: this record of a person — whose is it, and how is it taken back?

Boundary of this claim: the survey covers the agent literature we were able to obtain and read in full. A wide reading, not an exhaustive one — and we say so on purpose.

IPO yourself.
